Cuisine Hollandaise: prakken

Found in a web forum:

"prakken" probably translates best as "to mash". The verb "prakken" is mainly used in conjunction with food and eating; it refers to the (habbit of) diminishing the potatoes on your plate with a fork and mixing them with the vegetables (and sliced meat). The same with a meatball: applying pressure with a fork will make it fall apart, you just "prakte" your first meatball! now mix it with the potatoes and vegetables and enjoy! When cooking, remember that "prakken" will leave much of the original structure intact, in contrast to what happens when using a mixer or blender.
